Orbiting Eden and Nanosatisfi have agreed to work together to develop a publicly accessible command and control system for ArduSat scheduled to launch in late 2013.

Toward this goal our team is busily working on technical aspects to the orrery.

Orrery Features recently completed:

• interface to NORAD for Two Line Element satellite position updates
• SGP4 algorithms for deriving current location and translation to Cartesian coordinates for use by the Orrery

Orrery Features Upcoming;

More accurate SGP4 Java algorithms will improve accuracy from a few thousand kilometers to a few dozen kilometers.

When the new SGP4 algorithms are complete, orbitingeden.com will offer a public interface providing Cartesian coordinates for all tracked objects.
